The history of water in Los Angeles is legendary.
They even made an academy award winning film about it; “Chinatown” Directed by Roman Polanski.
The principle players in successfully moving water into Los Angeles were these three gentlemen;Â The three fathers of the LA Aqueduct – left to right: Joseph B. Lippincott, Fred Eaton and William Mulholland. This photograph appeared in the Los Angeles Times on August 6, 1906, less than a week after Lippincott’s resignation from the Reclamation Service became effective.
